I saw Indiana Jones a few weeks ago. Tbh, nothing beats the originals, although this was a good try.

Me and Josh got The Darjeeling Ltf out from the library, and it was supremely awesome. to the point that i'm gonna watch it at least once more before i take it back, which is unusual for me in teh extreme.

i should see that at some point.

i saw madagascar 2 again yesterday with dad and rob. not quite as good as the first time, but i'd forgotten enough of the jokes for it to be enjoyable still.

Me: What's your favourite Roald Dahl book?
You: Fantastic Mr Fox, of course.
Me: Yes. That's everybodies favourite Dahl book.
You: Even yours, Ben?
Me: Especially mine.
You: I thought so.
Me: Enough of this! Who is your favourite filming-director making personage (that you are aware of)?
You: I'm not really sure.
Me: Then i'll tell you. It's Wes Anderson.
You: Oh yeah. I remember that now. Of Course.
Me: Enough! So what would you do if i told you Wes Anderson is making an animated film of Fantastic Mr Fox to be relased in 2009, with Bill Murray and Jason Schwarzman involved vocally?
You: i would say 'woop'.

i like that film. i saw it on a sepia-tinged TV though, and that improved it a lot i think.

have you ever seen The History Boys? i'mnot sure how much it's your sort of thing, but its wicked. i saw it in Sainsburys for £4, whjich is a bargain, so i bought it yesterday and watched it with mum and dad-- it's written by Alan Bennett (whose autobiography i'm currently reading) who was in Exeter college at oxford with my dad. so that's cool.

i think i saw an advert for that in cinema city, but i can't remember what it was about. Rach said she got you The Darjeeling Ltd and neither of you liked it. which is crazy, because it's awesome. in a slightly Huckerbees way.

in the cinema recently i saw Up! in 3D, which naturally was fantastic, because lets face it, it's Pixar. and it was my first 3D experience. absolutely amazing. i loved it.

i also saw fantastic mr. fox. pretty good, pretty funny, very wes anderson. i was unsure as to how wes anderson would tackle what is essentially a childrens film, and frankly i think if he was going for a family film he kinda failed. but it is wes anderson, and if you like his films then you'll enjoy it.

i saw the village last night. it was ok, but when it finished i was just like 'is that it?'. i dont mind things left unsolved in films, i dont mind having to think, but i just thought it felt unfinished. meh, it was alright.

i've also seen Wall-e twice recently. my goodness. one of the best films i've ever seen? possibly. so beautiful, so sweet, so dang enjoyable. it just gets everything right. certainly my favourite Disney Pixar, which tbh says a lot, because D/P can do no wrong in my eyes. Toy story 3D and Toy Story 3 are gonna blow us all away.

saw Fantastic Mr Fox today! loved it to bits. it was beautiful throughout. not a kids film at all, really. i don't think it was really trying to be. really really enjoyed it.
