his cd's are well cheap, but the postage is lots. $8 cd, $30 postage. still, under £20 really. when ben gets job, and people give him many moneys, he might buy one. he thinks.

Home is the story of my relationship with Jenny, from beginning to now. In addition, it’s the synthesis of all my work up until this point. Musically, it makes sense of everything I’ve done, or at least features the deployment of ideas I began to play with on previous records. It will feature a female vocalist on half of the songs, playing the role of Jenny, singing lyrics she wrote with me, in the middle of our breakup process. There is a lot more to say about this record --- it’s the most important record I’ll ever make ---- but it will be more of a conversation, and less of a monologue if people are able to hear it first. I need it to be done so I can close that chapter of my life. I’m trying to make a record that has no regrettable element to me, so it’s a long process. I also am trying to properly depict the most loving situation I’ve ever been a part of, so that’s a tall order.

this is why Home is gonna kick ass:

GavCaz's Myspace wrote:
When your lover tears your heart
Clumsily from your chest
And holds it up to your face
You will first wonder, “how am I still alive?”
But then you will think
“I had no idea my heart was that big.”

he owns heartache. he pretty much invented it.

there's gonna be a new song every week on his myspace, until it's released, feb 13th.

Home has leaked and i just listened to it for the first time. was fun. will probably need a million listens to digest it, considering the amount of intense work and perfectionism that's gone into it. gonna buy the cd too, when it drops.

i fully expect it to be wicked, when i've got into it. right now, i enjoy listening to it, is all. soundwise, it's... i dunno. one or two bits of scatter-rapping, but mostly sung, there's a lady singer too, it's catchy at times but never poppy, head-bending in terms of what happens where. i dunno. it's pretty eclectic. will post a review on here when i've consumed it all.

blates. he's well annoyedf that it's leaked, which is odd cos he's usually pro all that bizzle. but he wrote a blog about it, about how this album is a process and about processes and needs to be approached in the right process, and leakage spoils that. he also said, which i think is much more of a Truthing, that this albums greatest enemy is a short attention span.

basically, it's a process.
