only 5 copies. i'll probably be done with the one im reading by revival town, so you can have it after me, assuming no-one else is lined up to read it.

probably.
overall i really enjoyed the book. it wasn't the best written thing i've ever read, and there were a number of little holes and things that i picked up on and spoke to jacko about, and i think he generally agreed with me. however near the end i did find myself really pretty taken in by it all, the story itself was pretty excellent i thought.
how far are you on this now ben?

I'm reading it slower than I hoped, I've got loads of other stuff to be doing and reading atm which is annoying. What I've read is very interesting though. There's loads that's just not quite there. So many spelling and grammar errors it's untrue, and the style and voice of it probably needs a lot of work, but it is definitely a story worth telling and I think will be well told once he's had the chance to tell it better. I really like most of it, the characters and ideas and stuff are good. And I'm only about a quarter of the way in. I wonder if he possibly needs a collaborator or a ghost writer. It's more than just spelling mistakes that need to be changed, lots of stuff probably needs to be re-worked, and deserves to be.

i think i agree. the writing, structure, characters etc are all there, just unfortunately jacko isn't the best writer.

finally finished this, and sent my edit back off to jacko. was good, really liked the ending. plot wise i think it's pretty strong, but characters and the writing obviously needed work. i said a lot more than that to jacko, but i think they were my major impressions.
